Wonderfullly Wonderful

So I am in Japan. And it really is amazing. I mean, the difference in the culture here is just crazy compared to what we are used to in Australia. Not even thinking about the crazy cartoon and everything everywhere, but the way that the houses are set up and the INSANE amount of stairs everywhere. And they wrap up EVERYTHING that you buy. I mean everything. I bought a few things from a little shop at a shrine before and the lady wrapped each item in its own pretty paper bag and then put the whole lot into a plastic bag. Crazyness.
Oh and speaking of crazyness, the people that designed the train stations in Tokyo (in particular Tokyo Station) were on so many kinds of drugs!!! It's easy enough to navigate the stations (well... confusing unless you know what you are looking for), but the distance between each train line and the amount of stairs... I don't even have words... I'm actually speechless! But sometimes it can take up to 30mins to walk from one platform to another in the same station. CRAZY!
But possibly the best thing I have seen since I have been here is a lady walking down the road with her two poodles and her MONKEY!!!  I want a monkey... Wah.
As soon as I get home (June 21) I will upload some photos - we have only been here for 5 days and I already have over 300 photos - Japan is just loving my camera!

Love all!

stormy love

Ok so I am aware that I am mental. I'm really ok with that. So Mum bought me this thing a while ago that she thought was a beanie, but it's actually a tea cosy. So featured here is me wearing said tea cosy as a beanie with my hair pulled through the holes. HA. I am so very very lame. And was on the biggest sugar high. These photos are just from my sister-in-laws birthday dinner that we had tonight. So much good food :)
 Eddie - rad dog :)

 Tablecloth designs.
And once again, proof that I am insane... Hahaha.

Well my loves it is beginning to storm and I have to get up early, so off to bed with me. Have wonderful dreams and smiling filled days this week!!!

Driving through the clouds

What a beautiful time to be going on a drive through the mountains. :) This is Mt Glorious on the way to Jollys Lookout.

Here is the views through the front of the car and out my window :)

Dogs and Prostesting

Protesting in the city and my crazy ass dog. He sat like that on Dad for about 10mins! Mind you, when he jumped up there, Dad was asleep! Haha. Not the most appealing way to be woken up... Trust me, Eddie is a heavy dog!!!!

Oh Esther...

This is what happens when you work at Starbucks for too long...

Bert.

This is Bert...

He is my new friend that will be photobombing a lot of my photos and he just got his ticket to come to Japan with me. AND he is helping his real life buddies in the wild just by being with me! [as in, we bought him from the people who are supporting the Orangutan's in the wild]

Here, as you can see, he is just hanging out on my lamp which is conveniently placed in front of my itinerary for Tokyo :) Welcome to the family Bert!

Lazy Day Sunday

A most beautiful day today. Spent the day with Mum at the Green Heart Fair at the park across the road, and we ate dagwood dogs and drank homemade ginger beer *YUM*!!!!!! and just generally enjoyed being in the sun. Then we came home and had a BBQ lunch with the Father on what continued to be a lovely afternoon. Ahhh perfection.

Above (left) you can see the view from where I was sitting at the table for lunch, and (right) the beautiful clear blue sky and sun that was with us today. :)
